Mikrokopter MK firmware .86, still having problems?

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Hi folks,
I'm trying to iron out an anomoly with my camera mount and would like to upgrade my firmware but I"m seeing problems on the MK.de site. Has a resolution been found for the motor temp and crash problems first reported with the new firmware?
Thanks,
Bart

I downgraded back to .82 which was very stable for me, still working well and nowhere near as problematic as .86 was/is. Wait a bit and .87 will be out, that may fix things, or not...

Eh Up Bart.. I still have hi BL temps compared with .84.. BUT as I have been flying WKM on my 450 and my ADX3 standard my ADX3 HL MK has been sat there still not fully commissioned as I was having the problems with high temps and altitude hold. I am DETERMINED to iron the problems out but I have to say the WKM is just so easy I can fly more than tinker trying to get the MK to fly. If I thought I could get the cost of a WMK for my MK stack and XL dis board I would swap it out for WKM in a jiffy!

Dave,
I was mostly referring to the BL temp problems. Are the BL's really overheating or could it just be a false indication?
I'm happy with firmware .82 and I just downgraded a new FC to .82 that came with .86 preloaded. MK has lived up to every expectation so far and my XY-8 continues to perform very well for me. I've snapped photos with position hold doing its job in 26 mph winds at about 200 ft so I really can't ask for much more. I can see the value of a more stable altitude hold but I wouldn't trade it at the expense of wind tolerance. GPS requires some understanding and experience to work through the indiosyncracies but having GPS gain on a Tx slider or knob does wonders for getting the kopter to be happy in all conditions.
I've got a build going for a friend so when that's done I hope to document some performance info as it's been a while since we've had any MK related updates.
Like Ken said, maybe .87 will fix the bugs.

Hi guys,
Quick question, when reverting to older versions is it the same as when loading new ones? So if I want to go from .86 to .84 will it still be navi first then FC.
Thanks

Same procedure to load the older versions as it is to load the new although if you jump too many revisions in either direction you may have some problems with MKtool. Terminal should still work fine and let you do the up/down grade regardless. Only thing you need to make sure of is the various board firmware versions are correct for the version of flight controller firmware you'll be loading.
