Can a LIPO battery be used for AV RX?

View attachment 7416
Hey,
I'm trying to install a FPV unit on to my F550 and the attached photo shows my AV receiver which I need to supply power to when I'm out in the field, can anyone tell me whether it can be powered by a LIPO?
On the RX it looks like a 2.5mm power jack, I'm assuming a LIPO can be soldered to a 2.5mm jack, errm, right? Anyone done this?
What LIPO would you suggest? A 3S?
I'm assuming the power draw is fairly small, and since I only have 4x 4S 5000mAH batteries which last me around 8mins each, I should be fine for a 3 or 4 flights before I have to charge the AV LIPO..

see how it says 12v, that's 3s unless you run a bec regulated to 12volts then you can use 4s or more......

Yes, I'm using one of my old puffed up 3s 200mah lipo's. Lasts forever.

Nice, thanks, I'll think I'll get one of those ordered.
I'll probably stick to the 3S as it's smaller and lighter, and I already have enough to worry about with my ground station.. :)
