To be honest with you, I think you will find its the 600mw version...I havent seen anything over that wattage that actually is what it claims to be. They have put up a few photos of varying TX/RX combinations, which straight away gets my mind thinking?

Here's the one I bought recently, though BEVRC has NOT put up my review..I told them that the TX antenna is glued on!!!!

With the cloverleaf antenna I'm getting very long distances on a 250mw 5.8 tx. Even if it was that powerful, it's probably overkill unless you want to go miles and miles out.

Tim, what sort of distance are you getting with that cloverleaf???

I have never reached the outer limits. :) I've been at least 1000 ft out and it was clear as day. I do have it on a tall mast above the copter. I've seen others go about a mile. Only issues are when flying directly overhead.

Ross, that Tx antenna is glued on for a good reason. If you power the tx without an antenna it will instantly die. Ask me how I know! :)

I know that some people will always try to power up a TX without any antenna loading, so I understand thier logic, but surely they should state that the antenna is glued! I managed to pull the antenna apart & soldered onto its terminal with my cloverleaf...I can fly a full pattern around me with NO loss of signal...it's fun, I'm addicted ;)

i'd steer clear of that thing

for what you comment needing, a 200-600mw 5.8 system will do more than you need. if it was me and i didn't want a degree in fpv setup, i'd get the immersion 5.8 system. the power regulator is built in, true plug and play. With one of the other systems you gotta come up with a clean power supply or seperate battery to get serious and make a clean signal. immersion gear can be soldered straight to an esc power pad and not be affected, up to 4s flight packs. gone over a mile like that
