    Naza won't calibrate

Nice idea if you can persuade a Sports Illustrated model to do the "Naza Dance" for you :)

F-550 Naza + GPS Rapid Uncontrolled Ascent

Since it fly's ok in manual mode but does the "fly-away" thing in atti & GPS mode, it would suggest the general setup & setting are ok (fine tuning of the gains excluded) and would point to a problem / issue with the barometer. Try deanot's suggestion of increasing the gains to see if this...

F-550 Naza + GPS Rapid Uncontrolled Ascent

From what you describe it sounds like there is an issue with the barometer in the naza which is used to control the altitude in both GPS & atti modes. in those two modes the throttle setting at 50% should give neutral altitude, i.e. maintain hight, throttle below 50% will decrease hight, above...

    1 Naza Fail Safe - 2 Intelligent Orientation - 3 toilet bowling

You might want to re-check the X, Y, Z values for the GPS antenna position, especially the + or - value. I hope this helps

    HK Q450 vs firewheel

thanks for the link, I think I'll stick with the wooden 9x5 Falten on my heli-quad, I'm happy with the performance. I might try DJI props on my F330 if they upgrade the 8" to the new design.

    HK Q450 vs firewheel

has there been any feedback about the "new" DJI props (sorry, I didn't see the "DJI new props" thread). I've seen them in the local stores but am reluctant to try them as I had home-built T6 fall out of the sky because 2 DJI props shattered in flight. I usually use the Falten wooden props now...

Unable to have a reliable flight after epic crash.

I watched your video, it sounds like a motor is dropping speed for a moment. Can you tell which motor it is? It may be the bullet connector from the motor to the ESC, sometimes they fit really nice when pushed in but does it rotate freely once its in, if it does, this may be causing a momentary...

    HK Q450 vs firewheel

I've seen those videos, IMHO, dropping an empty F450 (282g) frame out of the window is slightly different to ploughing a fully loaded (1,600g) frame into the deck in powered flight. Personally, I like the DJI frames, I have built and flown F330, F450 & F550, they are very easy to assemble and...

    DJI Support? Faulty IMU...

IMHO, the dealer you bought the unit from should be your first point of contact in this type of situation. It will be easier for you to discuss the problem with them, maybe even show them the issue 1st hand by testing your unit at their shop. If its proven to be faulty, its easier for the dealer...

    (intelligent orientation control)

IMHO, it really depends on how you want to fly and at what experience level you are at. I'm still a very bad pilot and with a multi-rotor it can be very easy to loose orientation especially if its a bit far away and you let it stop and hover. I've ended up in the bushes at the end of the field...

Naza GPS and Futaba 8FG and R6208SB RX not playing nicely together.

Hi SMP, I enjoyed your comment about real estate, it did make me smile. Was there any change in the "3 reds" if you lift the whole rig off the ground, I'm still thinking about the underground power cable theory. Can you repeat the "3 red" effect when you are back home, i.e., 3 reds with the gps...

Naza GPS and Futaba 8FG and R6208SB RX not playing nicely together.

Hi SMP, I've just re-read your 1st post and you mentioned about 3 reds flashing all the time. I have seen that on the DJI Phantom, which also uses the naza with gps. It was during a recent night flying gathering and one guy brought his Phantom along but every time he powered it up after the boot...

    Naza went weird

I think the musical tones are from the ESC's, I always watch the LED on the naza VU, it flashes a of sequence of red, amber & green a few times then several (4 i think) flashes of green, then it will show what flight mode its in, nothing for manual, amber for atti, green for GPS which is the end...

Naza GPS and Futaba 8FG and R6208SB RX not playing nicely together.

I'm glad I could help. I have both sides of my naza covered with black packing foam, but yes, it is only the left side that gets effected from what I've seen on various youtube vids and read on different forums. the GPS & RC rx shouldn't cause cross interference, they are both passive...

Naza GPS and Futaba 8FG and R6208SB RX not playing nicely together.

I use the Futaba 8J with my naza and its always been very reliable. I connect them using the normal channel to channel wiring, I haven't tried S-Bus. one suggestion would be to try connecting them using the traditional channel to channel wiring to see if that improves things. If your GPS isn't...
