    Design considerations for control boards.

How about once you connect a USB cable (without use of a MK USB) to the computer and MK and open MKTool it would automatically check the firmware version and ask if you want to upgrade to the latest version. Kinda like what Windows does for updates for your PC. It would also be nice if the...

Mikrokopter What is my next step??

If it were me and I had just purchased a used MK I think it would be prudent doing all the calibrations myself for the 1st time so you know they are right.

Mikrokopter What is my next step??

Jim don't be surprised if it takes some time to get your 1st GPS lock. If the MK came from the other side of the world the GPS will need to build a new map of the satellite positions for your specific area. You'll really like your new JRX-9503.

    Graupner prop question

Update: Here's a picture of the Graupner prop mounted with the stainless steel fender washer. McMaster-Carr offer fender washers in various diameters and with various sized holes. Part number 91116A140 has a 5.3mm bore and is 15mm in diameter. They come in a bag of 100 (life's supply) for $5.71...

    Mikrokopter Come home not working

1st go into MKTool and verify the CH is active when you flip the switch on your TX. If MKTool shows CH then you may be losing GPS lock. If that is the case CH will be a moot point. My GPS was acting strange with 3D locks that seemed to take forever at times to acheive. I purchased and installed...

    Upgrading the Mikrokopter Firmware

Gotta agree here with Crash as I've heard of too many guys getting into trouble trying to use wireless to upgrade the firmware. The MK USB is a better solution IMHO.

    Graupner prop question

Bart got the metal reducers from Ziggy and they slide right into the Graupner props. The fender washers sounds like a good alternative unfortunately I don't have a lathe so I can't true them after drilling each to 8mm. Figured there had to be an easy solution but I'm not finding one. I'm really...

    Graupner prop question

Can one of you guys that's been using Graupner props point me to where I can purchase 8mm prop washers? The star washers that I have aren't wide enough to span the 8mm X 5mm reducers needed for the Graupners.

    Mikrokopter Fixed and flying again

Ken glad you're up and flying once again my friend. Just wish they would do a bit more testing on new firmware versions before they are released to the general public. I'm sure you don't like finding out the hard way that there is a bug.

    Mikrokopter firmware update .84

Crash that link you sent me pertains to a single post. Can you direct me to the whole thread so I can get more detail? This near fly-away didn't take place in Amherst did it?

    Mikrokopter firmware update .84

Crash what did they determine to be the cause? Wonder how many guys would have been able to avoid panic and keep a cool head to cycle the TX and get the MK down avoiding a fly-away. Man I hate to see guys have a loss of control through no fault of their own. I can understand a mechanical...

    Multicopters versus the Wind ?

Dave I actually backed up and then ducked. Things I have learned: When the MK is perpendicular to the ground there is no lift, it's coming down fast.

    Mikrokopter firmware update .84

Ken there was a post made at the 'other site' relating to a similar problem. I'm now starting to wonder if this behavior might be related to a combination of the new firmware and the camera servos. Would you be willing to pull the plug on the servos and make a flight for test purposes with the...

    Multicopters versus the Wind ?

I had a bad experience with gusts to 25 MPH. Got hit on a steep turn and the Hexa crashed right at my feet. The good news was I didn't have to walk far to pick up the pieces.

    Mikrokopter Mikrokopter GPS Shield

I'm taking FOX222s lead as I ordered one of these today. Hoping for a quicker lock. Will also add an aux. GPS LED so I can actually see when a 3-D lock has been made. FOX222 was kind enough to come up with a transistor switch circuit.
