ok im having trouble picking out parts again. I want to run 433mhz tx and rx for controlling the MR and go 900 or 2.4ghz for the FPV. but I read that many cameras will malfunction in presence of 433 mhz. I was fine using a cheaper camera for fpv and having a second one onboard to record HD...
OK I want to eventually go the route of UHF for my rx and tx. but I need a good remote control. however I see a 9ch can go from $50-800... So whats the real difference. would any decent 2.4ghz one be ok as long as it can connect to my uhf tx?
OK had a thought. I was originally thinking of mounting my esc inside the center piece on my turnigy talon MR, to keep the look clean, but was curious if they need serious air flow to keep cool and if that's why they are always mounted on the arms of MR's ?
BTW has anyone see extenders for the landing gear on the turnigy talon. I saw them one day when I was starting out but cant for the life of me find them again Thanks!
OK connected the NAZA M to the DJI f550 kit I had. WOW what a difference!! so much easier to fly its actually fun now LOL. So much less discouraged about building my MR now. thinking I should have gone smaller tho since it seems my main interest will be fpv and aerial vidoegraphy
Do I need to balance the props? Would that make much more of a difference. also I reset the alt/gyro if the surface was just a very small off from level when I set them would it be causing this..
Ok so I bought a RTF aerosky dji f550 hex rotor from xheli dot com to learn how to fly and practice, but man it is very difficult to get these to hover and or fly straight or smoothly. When I start up the throttle it always drifts off to one side or another. and I feel its too sensitive. Is this...
Ok thanks again. looking to order the wiring now. I have the 30A multisatr ESC that have 3.5mm bullets connectors and the turnigy motor 490kv that has 2mm bullet connectors. would like to avoid soldering as much as possible but will If I need to. but what gauge wire to I use. I know home...
ALSO still cant figure out the battery charger and power supply. do I need a strong 30A setup if im charging a 5000mah 45C battery or would the smaller chargers still charge it just slower?
OK couple more things ive stumbled across during the build. Ive fired up the motors and the prop cones keep flying off.. Do you guys use thread lock/thread seal on yours to keep them on. (I was only tightening them by hand btw.)
OK thanks for all the advice so far everyone! currently I have Frame: Turnigy hexacopter v1 1125mm motor to motor.(longer booms) ESC: 6x multistar 30A OPTO Motor: 6x turnigy multistar 690kV 22pole motors Controller: NAZA-M v1 with GPS Battery: 2x turnigy nanotech 5000mah 65-130C. I should Start...
Can anyone recommend a charger for these batteries im going to be using 2 of these batteries. I see it says charging rate of 8C for the batteries, but not sure if that mean it need 8Amps or 8x5=40Amps...
Do you all think this is legit seems like a pretty good price from what ive seen around..? http://www.ebay.com/itm/360652566979?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
what if I buy larger booms for my turnigy frame currently the booms are 250mm what if I got 400, 500, haha ive even seen 1000mm booms. would that make the craft unstable? I know if I went a bit larger I could use larger props, so maybe more lift?
OK so if I have 6 motors that run at 16A with a max of 22A and have 30A ESC's on each that means I should have a power supply that can give out 180A (30Ax6) correct? But I see most of the best batteries only go up to 65C with a burst max of 130C does that mean I need 2 or 3 of those batteries...
OK thanks so far for the advice everyone, im ready to order so far im getting 6 690kv turnigy multistar motors and (6 BEC 30A ESC's also turnigy multistar) my biggest confusion is still with the flight controllers. I want the vehicle to be able to hover where I leave it if that's possible but...
