Problem solved. it was stuck in safe mode cuz my remote didn't have an adjustable 2 way switch so I just disconnected the U channel altogether. However new problem, I have 14 inch props on 6 690kv motors. and I set the idle speed to its lowest setting and this thing wants to fly off at idle...

How would I record from a camera that doesn't have a way to record onboard? Do I have to record the FPV signal on the ground? I don't think I can get as nice of a picture that way.. right?

I wouldn't have 2 downlinks the second one onboard would just be recording onto an SD card. at least that's the plan.
