I was asked about the calibration procedure for the alexmos board. Motors are connected and the gimbal is fully operational. The only thing i do for the calibration procedure is turn the power to 0 for the roll and pitch motor. Than move the gimbal/IMU in the positions shown in the pics below...

two motor setup seems to work in a small dimensions. Lets try it bigger :) Could double the power on the role axis ( if necessary) and make it even easier to create gimbals.

Doesent one of you have a friend at maxon. All one would have to do is ask them what the difference it between the zenmuse and the zenmuse evo, which motors are used now in the evo and encoders and if there is really a 3x more stableness in it :) Boris

guys just watch out. I have seen several brushless gimbals now and a lot of them have a common mistake. The roll axis has to be adjustable, not for right and left to get the cam in balance on the roll axis, but from the roll axis the camera has to be shifted upwards or downwards. Watch at...

Hell of a lot less for sure : Alexmos board, two rewound motors and the gimbal itself. doable with 300 to 400 $ max ! @tstrick obviously not having been there but just looking at the videos ! I feel the same it lost its magic somehow. The more it becomes a mass product the more i am motivated...
