As far as i know their board is nothing else than the alexmos board but layouted differently and sandwiched. I think they are the maxon motors ready for hall sensors, but they are not using any hall sensors for the motors, thus the maxon need 3 phases for normal drive ! 70 % sure it would work...

Chris to be honest i dont think bring the vertical gains even higher will help you ! I have a similar setup and i think my vertical gains are around 120 or something that low. I suspect more vibration messing with the z acc ! Boris
