flexibility will probably never be given ! to do it right you will have to balance all 3 axis in complete balance meaning no matter which orientation you turn the cam/gimbal it should not move. Gimbal design wise it wont be possible to take a 5d and also have a gopro balanced out nicely !

hexacop, for timing best is to write Andreas a short email. They tested all the motors and can give you the best answer ! Concerning DJI setting, dont think it is really possible to give you any data. To many variables prop size frame size etc etc and than additionally question of taste. Boris

Ttriple i use the DC 16 with my setups more than happy with it. You can run two receivers at once in dual mode for example, and you can get receiver capable of PPM thus only one wire connection to the fx ! this video give you a little insight:
