Thanks for the replies guys. Mat, very helpful info. Would there be any advantage of using 12" props? Would this mean the motors do less work to keep it up?

When I first started flying, I went to a local museum and did a quick shoot. They kindly let me shoot after closing time, which took just under an hour. The quality isn't the best, but this is how you learn!!

Boris, tell them to stick it! I order parts for my heli from Canada, costs me £30 max. courier charges for small items (about $50 us) to ship from Canada to UK. Even that is high, but it's all insured etc. via a courier.

I have spent ages also thinking about something like this as well! Ideally, one switch would cut the motors and deploy the chute a split second later. I also thought about an air-bag system, one deploying underneath and one above, like 2 big donuts...also make them so that after deploying...

It does look very good, but hacking your phone and validating the warranty is a bit rubbish. What is the reason they can't go through the proper channels on the app store?
