Geoff, I see you sell them on your website. Have you had a chance to play with the wifi features? I would really like to find a device that creates a wifi hotspot that can be used to stream video from the gopro. It also needs to be portable so you can use it in the field...find me something like...
Not sure...what I need is the distance from the center of the motor shaft, across the center plates, to the motor shaft on the opposite side. It sounds like it is the correct dimension though, that's about 815mm which seems about right.
Just let me know if that is how you measured it.
Someone else might be able to help sooner, but if you can tell me motor to motor dimension, I can draw it to scale and tell you if it will fit or not.
Cheers,
Gunter.
Hi guys,
I'm just busy wiring up the camera gimbal. Can someone please confirm the colour of the servo wires, I have orange, red and brown. I just need to know what is positive, negative and signal!
Thanks,
Gunter.
Making a movie is out of the question at the moment, I'm afraid...I wouldn't have enough time! I have listed a few of the components here on my other site. There are a few usefull links.
Depending on what parts you buy and what spec you are looking at, a full set of parts could cost you £2000 -...
I think you might need to leave it longer before flying, to find all satelites. Make sure you are in an open area, switch the WKM on and leave it standing on the ground for a minute or two, until all of the red lights have gone off. Then only fly it after that.

Bowley, if you push the heli forward in atti mode, then let the sticks go, it will carry on drifting in that direction. If you do the same thing in GPS mode, it will stop as soon as you let the sticks go and stay in the same place.
I haven't done mine yet, but I assume you have to cut a few wires and make up a custom loom. Signal to the WKM and power to the ubec...hopefully someone has done this already and can post a description and pics for both of us!

Manual: Flies like a pig! You have to stabilise the heli yourself...I have disabled mine!
Atti: Flies beautifully. Self stabilises and holds altitude when you let the gas stick go. Fly like normal.
GPS: Sticks in the sky like chewing gum on your shoe. You can adjust altitude while in GPS mode...
Square booms would cause a bit more turbulance with wind, but as you mentioned, no need for boom clamps. Personaly I prefer the look of round tubes, even though it's a lot more work!

Flap, it's all down to quality of the components! If you buy good stuff, it won't go wrong and you should be okay. My big worry was soldering, just one bad joint could cause a crash, so everything needs to be soldered very well.
If you want to go for ultimate failsafe, Mactadpole lost a motor...
