    Hello from Scotland UK

Hi dude, where abouts in Scotland are you?

    My brushless gimbal result

I'm intending buying one of these, just waiting to get paid for a web design job.

I think a good use for multi-rotors in filming is to create forwards moving shots over fields of flowers or crops because it's something that's quite hard to do any other way, well without ruining the crops anyway.

    YUN-1, anybody else pre-ordered this?

I like the idea of gimbals coming with boards, makes a lot of sense and should end the need for buying extra expensive little gizmos to stabilize something that should already be stabilized.

    My brushless gimbal result

Cool, I'm having to do the same thing for a shutter control on my GH2, also right-angle but sticks out too much.

    YUN-1, anybody else pre-ordered this?

It will be good when we start seeing these for bigger cameras and camcorders.

I'd also guess that RAW would be the best Protune setting if you're going to use Protune as you'll be able to tweak it till it's just right in AP/AF or whatever. Unless you need to give them files right away and they don't have software to tweak. IrisAerial's suggestion of filters would be good...

Nice showreel Kari, love how steady your tracking is, much better than mine. I can't remember if I put mine up here or not, apologies if I did already, so here it is (I have a much better setup now, so hopefully next year's will be as steady as yours): P.S. The wobbly banking stuff is fixed...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Droidworx mini 6

Looks brilliant, loving the way the ESCs slip in between the frame/cage bit like that.

Aeronavics / Droidworx Flight Time assistance needed.

Much better flight times, well done. I've always found it easier to get longer flight times with my smaller quads than my larger hexacopters, it just starts getting more complicates as things get bigger with more motors. I've been flying a TBS Discovery recently and still don't know how long it...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Flight Time assistance needed.

I prefer to use the lipo buzzers/beepers mentioned earlier because they measure the voltage in each cell and beep whenever one of the cells drops below whatever you set it to, say 3.7v or whatever. I feel safer using this as a measure than seeing how many mah I've used because sometimes a single...

That's what I intend doing, only I'm going to buy my own printer because the price of getting it done elsewhere is too exensive if you're intending to do it regularly.

    Aeronavics / Droidworx Nic's XM-6 build blog...

Do you know how the XM-6 compares to the AD series? And are there any interchangable parts, like is the dome the same size/fit, or is it all totally different?

I think it looks a bit odd sometimes though if you use software lens correction, and the quality always seems to drop. Or it does when I try it anyway. I'd rather record with a flat lens in the first place if that's what I want.

Look pretty good to me. I haven't tried the protune options yet, always filming in 60fps. I think your video quality is definitely more than good enough for its intended purpose, assuming the Youtube description is what you intend to do. There's a couple of little wobbles, which might be slight...

I think the fisheye effect has its uses. It can be great when flying close to objects or the ground to get a feeling of speed, and also to get large buildings completely in shot without having to be too far away, and getting larger areas of enclosed environments in shot where a flatter lens...

Do you use "Thread locker" on F550 Propeller Nuts? - CRASH -!

I always use nylock nuts. In fact it has been suggested to me to use two if the shaft with fit them, just to be sure. I wouldn't put threadlock on your prop shafts, they'll get more and more manky/horrible. Plus it's poisonous to some of the cheaper props and make them crack if any comes in...
