If you need an HDMI converter...

Tabb's solution looks awesome. If you need a converter, buy his. I'll likely buy one just to shave some weight.

Bartman, Can you tell us more about the yellow heat shrink. Where did you get it? What brand? What's your trick for getting the lights to pop through just right? Looks awesome - well done. Thanks! -Ben

    New Contest, Why?

Is Vimeo an option? (Rather than Youtube.) It's possible to hide a video on Vimeo from the general public, much like the unlisted status you mentioned (I think).

    Help choosing my Flight Controller

I bought my Hoverfly Pro from the Hoverfly website.

    First Heavylift

The Cinestar is a great frame and the QC3328 motors would be great for DSLR cameras. I wouldn't fly a Scarlet with it though. I'm in the middle of working out the details to upgrade mine to lift a Scarlet - a tricky proposition that you absolutely must get right. Learn how to use eCalc for...

    Scorpion motors on Cinestar?

Lanzar, thanks for running the numbers for me. Please note that I ran it at 7kg "without drive" and my AUW is over 11kg. So we were using very similar numbers, but in a different way. Should I be concerned about full throttle killing the motors? At the moment, I'm not, because I don't use...

If you had 15 to 20 grand, what would you buy...

I've seen their build quality in person - top notch. Attention to detail and clean wiring job.

If you had 15 to 20 grand, what would you buy...

First, buy a Blade Mqx with about 5 or 6 batteries and fly it like crazy every day. I still fly mine a lot - it is so much fun and it can take a beating! Next, build a small quad yourself. Pick a frame, ESCs, motors, props, flight controller, batteries... Then fly a lot. Then go buy the...

    Scorpion motors on Cinestar?

No worries, that's barely over the limit. I never use maximum throttle. (knock on wood)

    Scorpion motors on Cinestar?

Here are my results in eCalc with the KW8 motors on a CS8 with an Epic camera.

    Scorpion motors on Cinestar?

Specs are a bit higher. Max is 50amps and 750 rpm / V. If I run them at 4s with my 14x5 Xoars, they look pretty good in eCalc.

    Scorpion motors on Cinestar?

Does it make sense to haul a Red Epic with a Cinestar8 with 8 KW8 motors? I'd be using the Cinestar 3 axis gimbal. On eCalc, I can make it work. Does it make sense in the real world?
