    Hoverfly Hoverfly Gimbal Controller?

Nope. We were using tilt and roll stabilization.

Wookong vs MK on Skyjib 8

I've been using Turnigy Plush. They guys at Hoverfly build theirs with Castle Creations.

Wookong vs MK on Skyjib 8

We're flying a Cinestar with a Hoverfly Pro. Hoverfly Pro works great on a Skyjib too. You could use Castle ESCs on it.

    Hoverfly Hoverfly Gimbal Controller?

We shot this with the Hoverfly Gimbal (Cinestar 8 with Cinestar 3 axis gimbal, Hoverfly Pro, and Hoverfly Gimbal board): And yes, there is a small bit of post stabilization (why not use it?). I think that as more direct drive gimbals reach the market, we'll see an improvement. But as it...

Hoverfly Just tried new HF firmware...

I just did my first test flight with version 4.3.802 and the result is.... Wow. I've got a big shoot this week and was iffy about leaving v4 that I've been using for a while now, but I'm glad I took that leap of faith and gave the latest firmware a shot. It flies so smooth. And in the past...

    Skyjib 8 Heavy Lifter Build

Hoverfly uses CC ESCs in their custom builds - not sure which model though.

    Skyjib 8 Heavy Lifter Build

Looks like you've done your homework. That's a great setup - I assume you ran the numbers on eCalc for your intended payloads? You'll definitely be happy with those components. The only thing I'd suggest would be to consider going with the Futaba 8fg super. It's a great remote. But...

What does one prefer? WK-M or NAZA+GPS?

Not meaning to hijack your thread here, but have you considered a Hoverfly Pro? We've been very happy with ours. But, I haven't owned DJI, so I can't speak for the products you're asking about. You've definitely come to the right place though - lots of experienced folks on this forum. Best...

    Scorpion motors on Cinestar?

Yes, I will definitely upgrade the ESCs when I upgrade the motors.

If you need an HDMI converter...

How does it look when you bypass the wireless video system? (From converter card straight out to TV)

Hoverfly Hoverfly *** New firmware, ver .802

Do those make the high pitched noise that the Turnigy ESCs make? The Castle ESCs don't scream, and that's one thing that makes me lean towards trying them on my next build.

If you need an HDMI converter...

Looks so-so, or I guess "kinda crappy standard def" would be the technical term. I'm looking for an HD wireless solution at the moment. I think I may have found one. I wouldn't expect incredible picture quality out of an HDMI to composite converter. Maybe Tabb's solution looks better.

Bartman, let us know when you figure out what happened.

Given that 7% increase, would you then use the same size props top and bottom?

Hoverfly Altitude Hold - best I can get is slowly dropping

It's his business. Of course he's going to take it serious. He and the rest of his team have worked really hard and continue to do so. They're more than willing to listen to constructive feedback, just present it with the respect that you would like people to give you.

Hoverfly Hoverfly *** New firmware, ver .802

Sounds like I need to install a GPS board on my Cinestar.

    Hoverfly Transfer from RCGroups

Sounds like it is time for me to upgrade to the latest firmware! I've been rocking 4.0 and have been very happy. Glad to hear that it has gotten even better.

    S800 v Cinestar 8?

Chris nailed it right there. I'd also add that the construction of the Cinestar gimbal allows for a lot of adjustment.
