KKMulticopter.kr - Minsoo Kim Build Thread

Hi Dave, The "Blue Boad" from Minso Kim is super simple to set up, theres a programming menu (all done by moving sticks on your transmitter) and 3 pots to controll the gain on Yaw/Pitch/Roll - I have found that the Y4 requires more gain than the quad, makes sense as it has less power...

KKMulticopter.kr - Minsoo Kim Build Thread

well, after proving she can carry close to 1 1/2 times her weight, time for a re-configure , I still have a soft spot for tricopters, but enjoy the close in hovering characteristics of a quad - so..........compromise ! I present - the Y4........with wheels :-) Its a std kkmulticopter.kr /...

    Grrrrrrrrrr

Looking forward to the pics and vids. I just got a go-pro , so about to start doing some myself. I love the tail end of summer here, just got in from maidening my Y4 inside the kids trampoline (14 ft diameter with a safety net) if I stuck a video camera on top, it would look like a profesional...

    Howdy from Texas!

Welcome Crash, good to see you here - the power of twitter i guess :) Crash's podcast is here www.thecrashcast.com always good for a listen. Saw the photos of the new quad frame, looks very nice, what material did you cut it out of, and was that done on the Phlatprinter MK3 or the overhead...

    Calculation sheet

Thanks Zorba. There is a small problem in cell b14 on sheet "calculations" in that id did not calculate based on 80% capacity. Have fixed it and re-uploaded. otherwise just change the cell contents of b14 to =B4*3.7*B5*0.8 Cheers Mat

    Calculation sheet

Did up an excell sheet, not of much use to the seasoned pro, but should help the non electrical savy out. it calculates flight times, based on airframe weight, load to be carried, and battery capacity. feedback please, will write an article up later for it get it from here...

KKMulticopter.kr - Minsoo Kim Build Thread

Well, finally built it, and , very boring to most, it is a quad. Built a quad as I have a customer after a small camera ship, and a quad was the easiest platform to setup that fit the bill. Did things a bit different, controller is mounted under the frame, with a flat platform on top (mocked up...

Rebuilt Rebuilt and flying ! got 6 flights in today (and a total of 8 for me flying multirotors) 5 flights on 3S 2600 mah, but did the last flight on 4S the flycam 925 motors and apc 10.3.8 props were sweet on 4S, the only diferences were - 45% throttle to hover as opposed to 60%...

    XAircraft X650 build thread

re-prop mounts - how difficult would it be to cut off the threaded part and install "normal" 3.0mm prop adaptors / that way "off-the-shelf" props could be used. Re-the fan - is this for ESC cooling, hadent seen one used on a multicopter before, interesting to see how well it works, like teh...

    Mats Tricopter - "IAP"

it happens :) you should see my dwindling fixed-wing fleet :) Tricopter uses the rear rotor for yaw control, does this by using a servo to vary the side thrust, not by differential prop speed. Upside - in theory yaw control is fast and positive Downside - moving part to break and when...

Doh ! hmm, windy, and I let it get "away" from me, wasnt in control of it, was fighting it. . The Tri itself was very well behaved.

    SnapQuad/KK build thread.

I run that transmitter, works a treat, just watch the build quality, it pays to open up the case and run your screwdriver over the screws and check the solder connections. Over here we swap in a FrSky 2.4 ghz module, much better range of recievers
