They don't show the flat spot on the gear in the photo. I bought a DS510 and the gear has a flat spot / no teeth :( Pete

I am flying a diy HFP 660mm quad with SunnySky 2814-11 700Kv motors with 4S4000 packs. I have tried APC 11X4.7 props but it was underpowered so I put APC 12x3.8's on and it gives me a 50% (stick) hover. It flies well but there is a lot of prop noise in the wind and turbulence and it bounces...

Even with big 15lb machine carrying a 5D camera, there isn't much commercial quality video in winds over 10mph. My smaller 8lb octo moves around too much in winds over 5-7mph. It just bounces around - little bumps in the video. I shoot stills in 25mph... I use the wind to help my video...

It sounds like your motors are not even. I remove my props and put on a disk (like a record if you remember those black vinyl thingees) on each motor instead of props. That let's me balance a small spirit level on the disk. Make sure they are balanced in all directions - rotating the mount...

I'm still trying to tame my mount... I shoot stills with the Octo (with a camera operator) in 25mph. Solo, 10mph. Video - any wind over 8-10mph bounces the machine around and it is reflected in the quality of the video. Pete
