second axi 2814/22 which is weird (the vid)

Hi Pablo, Jjust quick feedback from my side, I programmed my ESC's to low timing but now it feels like the motors are getting even hotter than before. I'll play around and see what I can figure out. Anybody have any suggestions?

second axi 2814/22 which is weird (the vid)

Hi Pablo, Have you managed to find out yet what is wrong? I'm also having a problem with my motors getting very hot, and I'm sure that I'm not over stressing them. Have you tried going to a lower timing setting? I'm currently running medium timing but I'm going to try and run low timing...

    Hoverfly HF Gimbal Video

Iris How will I go about ditching the pots? I have a CS 360 gimbal with the external pots. Would I need to bypass the pots and make all the servos continuous rotation?

    Hoverfly HF Gimbal Video

Sorry what do you mean by ditched the pots? I don't have any jitters on my Gimbal anymore ever since I moved the Gimbal controller as indicated in that link I attached earlier in the thread.

    Hoverfly HF Gimbal Video

Hi Mike, I'd like to think that will get better results. The only one which is continuous rotation on the CS 360 gimbal is the pan servo, the roll and tilt are both pots. I sure found the results to be better after I moved it. Andre

    Hoverfly HF Gimbal Video

Hi Mike, Really cool video. One thing I'm very interested in is the mounting position of your Gimbal Controller, I had mine mounted on the horizontal cross bar of the roll axis at first but I got terrible oscillation, that is when I found this article released by Hoverfly which helped a lot...

    Hoverfly Correct Setup?

Thank you very much for the advice, I'll try and get a hold of YeeHaaa and see what information he is willing to share. I was also thinking that it might be a timing issue, but I've not done the test yet. When I get a free minute and some good weather then I'm going to tackle that part of it.

    Hoverfly Correct Setup?

Hi Guys, I'm really struggling with motor temp issues, I flew over the weekend, first flight was 4mins and after landing the motors were really hot to the tough. Not the bell housing though that was cool, the hot part is the fixed part with the windings. My craft only weight 5.2kg and as...

    Hoverfly Hoverfly from a boat?

Hi Octicine, Have a look on the forum for "Flying Fish" it is a clip shot by Benjamin Rowland mostly flying from a small boat. Maybe he can give you some pointers. I don't know why the HFP pro will not arm on water maybe movement but I've never experienced it. Kloner, Hoverfly does indeed...

    Hoverfly Hoverfly Gimbal Controller?

Hi, I'm having some success with my Hoverfly Gimbal controller, granted I still have some tweaking to do but it all seems to work pretty good for me. My setup is different though as I'm using a Cinestar 3Axis gimbal. I've seen some footage where the hoverfly guys use the PhotoHigher gimbals so...

    Hoverfly Correct Setup?

Hi CLM, The couple of time which I've flown it with no camera was pretty good, I have however not had a lot of flights yet as the weather has not been very forth coming and with all the setup work I've been doing nothing is really guaranteed. What is your hex setup? Also Cinestar but with 2...

    Hoverfly strange power loss

Hi, How new are your Turnigy Li-po's? I'm assuming they are Nano-techs. Were you flying with 1 single pack at a time 5000mah only as I was out yesterday not too cold here and I had exactly the same problem after about 3min's of flying the copter just started falling out of the sky no matter...

Belmont University filmed with our Cinestar 8, Hoverfly Pro, and Radian.

That is some really, really good footage! I must say you have this down to an art already. Quick couple of questions: Do you fly everything line of site or do you use FPV? You use to use a hoverfly Gimbal controller why the change? Do you find the radian to be superior? Once again I really...

    Hoverfly Correct Setup?

Yes I saw that, very neat solution. Do you always fly with two batteries? What flight times do you get, and lastly have you ever felt your motors to see if they get hot or not after a flight? I find my bell housings are cold but the core of the motors do get hot (as mentioned earlier I suspect...

    Hoverfly Correct Setup?

I was still meant to send you pictures, I made an adapter plate which picked up the MK controller mounting holes. The adapter plate is raised with spacers, about 6mm to allow cables to pass underneath. And then I joined my two battery trays together, therefore eliminating the four centre...

    Hoverfly Correct Setup?

I'm also struggling with the weather and time to test. I'm going to swop out my 14 x 4.7's with 12 x 3.8's which I have on the shelve to see if that does not make a difference. I know my payload is going to suffer but maybe it is worth while..

    Hoverfly Correct Setup?

Hi All, I'm really starting to doubt my setup and I was hoping I could run it past a couple of you guys in the forum who has many more years experience than myself. My Setup: Cinestar 6 Cinestar 3 Axis Gimbal AXI 2814-22 Motors Turnigy Plush 40 Amp ESC's APC 14 x 4.7 SF props HFP Flight...

Hoverfly Hoverfly Pro and Cinestar 6 Airframe

Hi StormRU, Where is your hoverfly gimbal board mounted? If it is mounted in such a way that it moves with the roll axis then it could potentially be your problem. Have a look at this article on the Hoverfly Support site showing where best to mount the Gimbal control board. I hope this...

If you need an HDMI converter...

I've tested that as well (I think) and if I remember correctly that was pretty bad as well. Is this board susceptible to interference from power cables and so forth? I'm going to test again tonight hooked up straight to the TV and if it is still bad then I'll accept that its a dud..
