I see a flaw in your computational flow analysis, but you guys are clever enough to figure it out without me having to tell you.. :highly_amused: Brilliant, keep it coming. I must compliment everybody at Hoverfly for building an absolutely bullet proof flight controller. Thank you guys for a...

Whaaaaaa?? Counterclockwise motors running 20 degree's C hotter than Clockwise??

Hi SMP, Thank you very much for the update. I'm using apc slow fly props so I should be ok seems like I just need to check all my alignment and balancing again. The cinestar is not the easiest to take apart and put back together accurately unless I'm missing something something. Anybody have...

Whaaaaaa?? Counterclockwise motors running 20 degree's C hotter than Clockwise??

Hi All, When you check your motor temps where do you feel on the motor? At point 1 in the picture or point 2? I always feel at point 2 and for some reason my motors are always running hot. I've tried different size props, even approached AXI and they say the 880gram payload I have per motor...

    Pilot and camera operator comms

Hi all, I'm sure this has been discussed in the past but I'd like to find out if anybody know's what kind of interference I can expect when using Bluetooth headsets? My concern is that Bluetooth also uses the 2.4GHz frequency band, and my transmitter (aurora 9) I'm also running the 2.4 GHz...

    Hoverfly Be still?

Hi guys, We recently did a shoot where we had to fly from a chase boat to film a wakeboarder, we had a difficult time getting the copter to arm due to movement but when it did arm she flew beautifully. So in short if you can arm it then it will fly. Have a look at this teaser of the film...

    Hoverfly Video thread

Hi all, End of last year we were asked to help with the aerial cinematography for a wakeboarding sponsorship video, this is just a little taster of what we did. It was really fun and a massive learning curve at the same time. Trying to get the hoverfly pro to initialize on the chase boat was...

Y6 versus Hexacopter....... Advantages one over the other? Chime in!!

Hi May, Those are some really good results. Do you think the results will be the same if you left the props on but un-plugged the motors instead, my thinking is that this would cause more instability in the yaw department. I know the rotational mass on the motors are pretty small but I think...

Best set up for sony FS700 + other questions

Hi nugget, I know this is a little off topic but how much experience do you have with the Sony FS700? Reason I'm asking, I was involved with a shot not to long ago where they were using one of these cameras and one thing nobody could figure out is why the camera could not shoot for longer...

    Never had this happen before!

Kloner, I was thinking exactly the same thing, these strips are normally meant to be supplied with 12v so a 4 cell pack which sits at 16.8v when fully charged will make the led's shine brighter but it will also cause the little buggers to run much hotter. Regards, Andre

    Battery storage?

Hi Baker, I have not traveled with Li-Po's yet myself but I've seen a lot of people mention in the Forums that you have to take it as carry on luggage, they should not go into the cargo hold. Maybe someone with first hand experience can verify this. Regards, Andre
