    BNUC-s vs. RPQ-s?

The ground school and flight assessments etc. take time to get booked and sorted. Equipment, whatever you think you've got you'll need more bits and bobs. I'd say from today book ground school for a months time. Attend g/s. Go away and prepare flight reference cards 1-3 weeks. Book and...

    BNUC-s vs. RPQ-s?

I'd echo the comments above really. My experience with Resource was positive and they have a good work ethic and mentality but in balance I know Euro USC are taking steps to improve their course

Mine works beautifully with the exception of live view. Today for example I had two flights with no issues but who knows what tomorrow will bring.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there Ben. V1 seems fine the update is what seems to have buggered things. I upgraded the Gh4 before I bought the Zenmuse though so can't comment. My dealer (not unsurprisingly) says it's the first GH4 Z15 he's had problems with.

Pete that is exactly my issue. Last job I was on it stopped working on site which went down well! I'm glad your having the same issues as it means I'm not mad! Ben Kenobi's is working perfectly I believe.

Zenmuse Z15 GH4 spins as hell

I can sympathise although my dealer swapped the gimbal at his expense. My probably is with completely intermittent live view. Works fine when connected to a TV but intermittent on the Zenmuse. I've tried everything!

    Unbelievable ....

Yes I took a positive spin from this one to be honest. Well written. It'll be great to see the Airprox Board report on Friday.

Pete there's no rhyme or reason to it I'm afraid. Every time its a faff. I think it was the GH4 firmware update that caused the issue but I didn't have the z15 before the update so again can't comment! When it works it's great but his live view issue is a royal PITA.

On a bench it does but in the field it doesn't always initialise correctly. I prefer if it doesn't hit the bench as well!

    Remote zoom compact camera

I do inspection work with a Sony CX410 boss stabilised camcorder on an AV130 gimbal. Can zoom and tilt. Take photos and video. Works very very well. Bit rate is not high enough for broadcast HD work though. Need the 710 at least for that. Forget messing about with little cameras.

Ah the same problem I have. Live view is a nightmare and I'm on my second gimble! Make sure HDMI TV output is 1080p. Make sure recording is 1080p (you can change later). Tilt camera down. Power up and let it initialise with the camera switched off Turn camera on Wait, wait, wait some more...

With Christmas around the corner and the potential for hobby grade equipment sales to 'go through the roof' the UK CAA has started a 'drone aware' campaign. Leaflet can be found here > DRONE-AWARE Please spread the word!
