If you get a chance, do look into adjusting expo on the FC, the results will likely make you much happier because you may have expo on expo now if you move the stick too far. And your a braver soul than I, I won't stand that close to my wife's 180mm frame when she takes off. Of course I will...

    quadcopter shakes violently while flying

Keep upping the P gain till it starts to twitch. Too much p will give a very tight quick oscillation. Based on Weight, Arm Length, Motor KV, Which rev of firmware on Flight Controller......(list goes on) there is not much for a normal gain.

Someone might correct me as my V2 is on back order at the moment, but I would do it in the FC. Otherwise you might not get the change you want. The FC is taking your input and recalculating an output of sorts from my experience so it is best to make the changes in the FC. Did a quick google...

lol, it could have been a lot worse. There is always a loose nut somewhere. Last time my wife flew, we lost 2 props in as many seconds.

Just give yourself plenty of room :D. Even if it doesn't have a loose nut, there might be one on the sticks.

    quadcopter shakes violently while flying

I was hoping they were BLHeli, you could still flash SimonK but I have never tried it on my escs and you would probably need a usb programming card for them, so we can pass on that at the moment. I have had my number 2,3 motor output dance in cleanflight (CF) while controlling tx as well. It...

Post a couple more pictures from cleanflight including a couple of your configuration tab and also one of the receiver table while your receiver powered on and all sticks centered.

    quadcopter shakes violently while flying

Not sure how your motors could keep spinning after disconnecting the battery :D. When you disarm or go to zero throttle, do the motors stop immediately or spin a little bit and more slowly stop? If they slowly stop, you aren't running damped light. If you have a way to balance the props, give...

    quadcopter shakes violently while flying

The prop check is just to check for a bent prop, it happens. -What about balancing the blades for weight? So the Naze is in a box and taped to the frame? That is fine, no need for o-rings. -Is it centered in the frame? ESC - Make sure all ESCs are running the same firmware and that are...

    quadcopter shakes violently while flying

If you are using Damped Light, try disabling it on the esc. Have you balanced props? Do the props track properly? - point Motor 1 Prop at Motor 2, and spin Motor 2 prop, watch as the blade comes around and its relationship to the height of the other blade. You are looking for a chance of...

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

I have not heard of anyone that got it to work well, that would go back to no active braking (I am sure someone can prove me wrong). Like the fltundra, once it works, its amazing but that is normally based on how the rig flies. So if the flight characteristics aren't living up to expectations...

DVP REVIEW | Drone Vibes Video: DJI Phantom 4 Long Term Review

If they were sticking to LOS rules, you would not really be able to determine that your range is now 4/5th a mile instead of 2 miles. First guess would be to reduce range quietly to not affect sales while trying to reduce the number of times they have to appear in the news for someone breaking...

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

Active braking will make the multirotor feel more "stable or locked," I like less "floaty" Basically it is keeping the motors from coasting down when you/FC wants to reduce power to that motor so you get a more immediate change in thrust. Otherwise, you have times where the FC is reducing the...

    Wiring Gryphon Dynamics Retractables

In the case of White, Red, Black; you are dealing with Black - Negative, Red - Positive, White - Signal. I have never tried running a servo directly off a BEC, so I might not be much help but am curious if someone has an answer so I will hang out. My thoughts: - I wonder if powering the...

    designing and building multirotor

If the Flight Controller is capable of forward flight control (airplane) and multirotor flight, which I believe a PixHawk and its clones should be, it could be as simple as a toggle switch for which mode you want, trouble may occur through transition. (Did confirm, some setups are simply using a...

Doesn't that blow your mind, granted I usually only have four motors spinning the wrong direction (out of four) but you would think with more motors the more likely you would be to randomly have one cooperate. Naza should have a channel map? Best thing that ever happened for me programming a...

Naza m Lite with FlySKy FX-CT6B problem

I could grab 3 sets of servo cables out of the bin, and I would probably have three different sets of colors....and then I got the ones I ripped apart to make 3 sets of 3 wires as one color.... Completely unrelated --maybe it is random, or luck, but my nicest sets of servo wires (thicker gauge...

Naza m Lite with FlySKy FX-CT6B problem

Good Catch. Not use to the In/Out reference, but Old Gazer is correct your Yellow signal wire should be on the top pin to coincide with the diagram on your receiver. From looking at the image of the Naza, it should be the opposite there. The Naza diagram shows Yellow signal on the bottom...

    designing and building multirotor

In that case, which are you looking to be the primary system? A multi-rotor platform might be over kill or under kill depending on how you look at it. A variable pitch rotor style heli head might be more of what you are looking for and would be a simpler tie in to a plane style craft. If you...

    designing and building multirotor

To simplify that down: - Pick your payload - Pick a frame that can support the payload - Pick your control systems - Pick the large battery for your current voltage goals, if frame requires you can always run two small parallel batteries. A bigger battery will almost give more flight time but...
