Hi guys, Just ordered one of these boards, thought I might make a tri-copter for some FPV fun & giving the Mrs something to fly. I'm clueless with regard to this board, so can someone tell me what firmware it will take or anything else it could be used for??? Ross

My camera gimbal is an askman mount (from about 4 years ago), its quite slow, but I use a FY30A as a stabiliser on it & the Mrs flies the gimbal with a DX7. Nothing fancy, but I might have to upgrade...just waiting on a sheet of 2.5mm carbon fibre so that I can mount my retracts. Ross

Hi Lance, I will answer only what I know, rather than what I think. I used blank PCB from maplins:- http://www.maplin.co.uk/copper-clad-boards-2112 & if you look, there is a double sided version (one side for positive the other for negative), that's if you wanted to make sure that both tracks...

I always tell people it will fly at just under Mach 1 depending on the air pressure ;) Ross

Exactly why I use a camera operator, leaving me free to fly my octo more smoothly & also allow for panning shots whilst still flying in the same direction. A mount without 360 rotation is playing at it & there are certain shots that directors want...that you can NOT get without the 360 pan. Ross

Lance, I run MK FC 2.1ME+navi & GPS. Im also using a I2C-PWM (by timecop) & 8 x 60A ESC's. The motors are all rated at 42A...so yes it should be fine for your current. Ross

Very true, larger diameter pot will hyave more track to travel for the same value, thus increasing resolution...how simple, but very true. So where did you get your pots from to make your gimbal so accurate? Keep up the great work hexacop, you are making big leaps forward. Ross

I show people how to make power boards, it's very easy. Power board made from blank PCB board, a few circles drawn with a quality compass, covered in solder & away you go...easy as ;) Ross
