OK tried the manual XY level, then the autotune & bang it goes hard over (roll) & stays there! I'm confused by PH setup guide, after setting XY level, you then tilt the tray down 90 degrees & set the z level...then do autotune...do you level the tray back off first or leave it still tilted down...

Yes, it's about 20 degreees from level when in flight. I have some footage to edit & upload showing the angle. I'm concerned why it never levelled off during the tuning process tonight!!!! Ross

My RSGS has an awful roll when in the air, it canks over by about 20 degrees, even in a hover!!!! Not impressed to be honest, its certainly NOT what I saw advertised by PH's video. Ross

Bart, congrats mate...that's superb. I agree the cut-away of the fish was a nice touch, it's a bit off footage you can keep as stock footage as well.....can be used multiple times! Smoothly flown as well...bonus ;) Ross

Ben, I taught myself & my fiancee to fly helis on phoenix sim..my fiancee has asked me to post this video:- If you're going to get a heli...nothing smaller than a 500 size, better go for a 600 in my book, far more stable. Regards Ross

Just to add more fuel here...I fly an octo (SJ8) with a canon 40D & a Panasonic HD9....with the panasonic onboard you don't know you're carrying the weight, but with the canon.....let's just say you can feel it, feels like I'm flying a totally different ship. Building your own is a great idea...

Superb Ken, nice flying skills as well. I caught sight of an airliner in the first video just past 3 mins...very nice. I did see some stuttering during the pan in the first video...but that could be youtube causing it? Any chance next time you fly this cam that you do a really slow full 360 pan...

Iris, you want to try a seaking helicopter...before you even start the rudder pedals are in need of 60Kg of boot just to level them!!!!
