    Ronin m $1399. Wow.

I am likely only gonna fly a dslr for a while but I want that ability to say "sure, we can fly a red". If the ronin is any good, it is cheap enough to have that then buy a larger gimbal of the need comes up.

    Ronin m $1399. Wow.

Gremsy is working on a fix for the h14 for small cameras shaking. A top bar that will be about $150.

They talk about mr accessories in this video

    Ronin m $1399. Wow.

I don't see any accesories listed so as of now there is no way to mount to a MR. I would need the male portion of the quick release. (Dovetail thingy)

    Ronin m $1399. Wow.

Game changer was the word I was gonna use. I believe this was a strategic price to hurt the little guys out there. Dji can definitely take advantage of "economy of scale" and sell a million of these at $1400 rather than 50,000 @ $2000. You gotta wonder if it will be as good as some...

    Ronin m $1399. Wow.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1137174-REG/dji_ronin_m_3_axis_handheld_stabilizer.html That price is a big shocker. I thought it would be around $2000. About 60% the cost of a Gremsy H6. You guys think it's worth a try for aerial at that price? Or you still bearish on Ronin for...

Good place to buy Tiger Motors

I'm in Canada alsoand unfortunately the bulk of good sellers is south of the border. I find Amain to have good stock and frequently have 10% off sales as they do now until the end of April. You will he nailed for tax upon delivery but you would pay tax if you bought it here anyway.

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

I will point out that based on my experience with the kde 4215 it is a perfect motor for 2kg thrust with a 16" prop. It will run cool at that load. It starts to heat up around 2.5kg's using 18" props. I have not tested it with 17's as I didn't have them. I believe the 5215 motor is a...

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

The kde 4215 and tmotor u7-490 are both rated for 3kg of thrust. Some quick math tells me the u7 has a full 1/3 more stator surface area. So, how is it possible the kde's are equal in output torque? Are they 30% more efficient?

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

Tmotor does not publish their motor bearing sizes but I believe they use 2 larger bearings vs 3 smaller ones. The whole idea here is to increase the radial load capacity.

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

A manufacturer can recommend anything they want but what is so magical about kde bearings that they last 5x's longer? I'm repeating myself here for the people that don't know my background but. I was a "Certified Bearing Specialist" for 20 years. Servicing various industries. My kde...

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

Based on my tests the 55 amp is good for 16" max prop. Anything more you should use the 75+

IMO their numbers lean heavily towards "optimistic".

PRODUCT REVIEW: Think Tank Photo Airport Helipack

Good review. We need more like this here. Not a cheap bag by any means but no more than an equal sized pelican and I can see why in some applications this would be better than a hard case. It definitely has more internal space than theequivalent sized pelican.

I don't think this guy gets invited to many barbecues and when he does he likely leaves with less teeth than he came with. Lol

    Motors/Bearings Toast ??

I've watched the videos. Kde talks about their high temp windings and high quality magnets but never mentions the adhesive rating.

    Motors/Bearings Toast ??

I've found myself thinking the same thing. Can the magnet adhesive withstand the same temps that the copper and bearings can. Maybe that's the weakest link.

    Motors/Bearings Toast ??

The deep groove ball bearings used in these motors are made to tolerate temps of 250F and are not likely the source of your smell. Could be winding insulation. Take ohm readings on motors if you have a good meter. They could tell a tale.

1100mm hex build. Hexacrafter, T-Motor, A2. Oh my.

On another note related to this build, I still haven't picked a gimbal. So many choices and nab just made the decision harder. This will be my main camera. Gh4 with veydra prime. This is the 16mm version. I am considering the 12 as well. A beautiful piece of glass. Cheers.
