Current feeling on U7 and equivalent KDE?

4215's are not the kde equivalent to the U7. Not a chance. I learned this the hard way. If you don't mind running a motor @ 250F to get that 3kg of thrust than fill your boots. Patrick put out a video regarding various temps limits of his motors components. I am not Patrick so I can...

    skyjib 8 heavylift gain setting?

I don't think the lens is gonna help. Let's do some math here. You have 4kg's just in batteries. 2.5kg for camera (no lens) 2.5kg for gimbal (no battery) You are basically at your max weight without even considering things like the aircraft itself. Lol. Motors, electronics...

    skyjib 8 heavylift gain setting?

I think you are way under powered. Other guys are hinting at that but I figure no point in beating around the bush. If I trusted KDE data to be accurate, 1310 grams per motor @ 50% brings you to a safe AUW of about 10kg. MAX I suspect you are way over that.

S900/A2 tipping over at take off from boat...

I didn't mean to post misleading info. I was told by a few people about her trying to move to home point immediately after takeoff. I just believed ot to be true. I blamed it for a tip over I had. Lol

S900/A2 tipping over at take off from boat...

This is a prime example of when to take off in atti. gps home point could change by 30' from when you arm the motors to when you actually take off. The craft wants to immediately fly to the home point = tip over.

    need a new trainer.

Ya. I have since changed my train of thought. I'm probably gonna get the armatten cf 355 frame (bullet proof). Same size as a phantom. Naza lite (flash to v2) And the tmotor kit air 350.

    Tarot Retract Warning... THIN METAL!!

Lol. I knew that. Was just pointing out what the real flaw is. If they left that corner square, it would never break.

    Tarot Retract Warning... THIN METAL!!

It's not the metal they use. They machine a dumb ogee on the corner of the cylinder making it really thin. For cosmetics I guess.

    need a new trainer.

My p2 is officially retired. Over 600 miles, 250 flights, 3 shells. Many, many crashes. For the last 6 months I've been using it just as a trainer. No gimbal or camera. Now it is at the point where it is not cost effective to get her up to snuff. So I want to build a 250 sized racer...

    iOSD added info

I leave camera osd on. I missed a really good shot before because I forgot to press record and the camera osd was off. At least now I can tell that it is recording.

Budget vs Tmotor props experiment results.

I bought the lites for load testing and my original trials. Far better to break them than the tmotors. I use the tmotor washers on top of the props. See pic attached. Forget about the hub balancing. Try getting these centered properly. Impossible. The kde ones were worse because...

Budget vs Tmotor props experiment results.

They all have quick release prop adapters so that's how I weighed them. Tmotor is 2 grams less. My scale doesn't read in tenths.

Budget vs Tmotor props experiment results.

I decided to do a little bench test on 2 brands of 16" props. Tmotor CF 16x5.4 props are about $45 each and have a double wall style of airfoil with a cork core. Foxtech Supreme Lite CF 16x5.5 props are no longer sold but they were about 1/3rd the price as tmotor and have a single wall style...
