Is this i dji A2 issue?

Droider... I am looking for reliable 40A ESCs for my A2 - Cinestar 8 build.... if you don't mind, can you offer a suggestion or two via PM? I read from MRF archives that the following is identical but a much lower price...

declination and a GPS head glued to post :-(

Never apply heat near the GPS module...... Just apply the heat at the bottom of the rod where it inserts in to the mounting bracket..... Apply just enough heat to crystallize the epoxy, then with hand in a heat protecting glove slowly twist the base back and forth until the base comes off. The...

Tiger Motors 4014 330kv or 400kv - which would you chose.

I'll be carrying a GH3 or GH4 on my Cinestar 8. If I stick with the props I use now it looks like I have to choose the MN4014-330KV or 400KV or the much more expensive U5..... unless I move away from T-motors and go with something else.... any ideas?

    S1000 Motors

I have an A2 on my Cinestar 8 but I need to upgrade the motors so that they are more in line for lifting a GH3 or GH4 on a 2 axis BGC system. I am thinking of following more closely to the S1000 configuration by buying after market 4110 - 400KV 500 watt motors. Does anyone here have any...

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

That is a really good but difficult question to answer..... there are many factors at work here...... Comsol Multiphysics $20,000 could provide you with an answer once you have all the input data loaded..... http://www.comsol.com/structural-mechanics-module. Also you would have to buy several...

All systems have resonant frequencies including entire MR airframes, their components such as propellers etc. The image here shows the formula for determining the resonant frequency of a simple rocket fin made of carbon fiber. As you can see the design accommodates extreme speeds but there is...

Commercial flights deemed legal... Trappy won!

Thanks JasonV, Noticed that Wikipedia does not yet mention Multirotors... hopefully that will be updated soon.

    Would this setup work?

While a 2nd set of batteries is a good idea, keep in mind that many quickly decide to evolve their Multirotors towards larger payloads requiring motor upgrades. That puts you in a situation where you have to move up to 4S, 5S and 6S batteries sooner or later. So that means you could get stuck...

    Would this setup work?

You do not need to go with batteries greater than 35C especially when using two in parallel as the C rating nearly doubles. If you buy 45C you are getting much heavier batteries which also shortens flight time.

    Would this setup work?

First I heard that the Turnigy Nano-Tech batteries were heavier than others...... They are compact but I want more power with less weight.... still looking. I designed my S800 clone to do 25 minutes using eCalc, 15 x 5 carbon fiber props, pancake style motors and parallel Nanotech 6S -5000 maH...

Commercial flights deemed legal... Trappy won!

Actually its been done before way back in the early 50's near Bikini Atoll when they were doing above ground nuclear bomb testing that took vintage WW2 aircraft and flew them by remote control....... later it was all scaled down. DJI A2 Official Users' Thread

Was all functions proven 100% during the bench testing with Assistant? What RC radio system are you using? What are you Basic and Attitude gains set at?

    Dji f550

When upsizing the motors and props for an F550 be very cautious with the motor and prop balancing..... The FC does not like vibration which can lead to partial flight control, random altitude loss and gains and potential fly-aways. Even when well balanced I had to use Kyosho anti-vibe tape...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

You did not provide the name of the flight controller...... that might help. With the DJI A2 having 14 available channels there would be no issues. With the WooKong limited to 8 channels I believe it is still possible.

CineStar 8 MK with Transport Canada SFOC Approval Application Document

I disagree entirely...... it is far more important to have proactive QC control of the MR system starting at the bench testing level, proper preflight checks and extensive and challenging flying experience. An issued SFOC is a necessary but reactive approach and I am hearing of many SFOC flight...

    Thoughts on Aerialmediapros?

Probably best to not use MRF to undercut related business that pays for advertising here in support of MRF.... but we understand that some customer contact people lack tact and EQ when it comes to dealing with customers. Customers do not need to be treated with disdain for asking the wrong...

Multi-Rotor Heli abbreviations, acronyms, secret codes, etc.!

great.... just one minor correction. UART = A universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter. It converts data between parallel and serial forms....and was common well before USB.
