I guess i should have specified if your running OpenTX 2940 and you have latest firmware in receiver and TX. From what i remember reading that those instructions were for Frsky factory software not Opentx 2940.

That's just silly, Castle has been around way before hobbycrap was even a brand. And Castle's MR ESC's work flawless wth high pole count pancake motors.

Once you have bound the receiver you can "set" failsafe from the TX.

I just did a range check and superX went right into failsafe mode when i lost signal!

That was before the latest tx and rx firmwares.

Failsafe with Taranis and X8R only gets setup in the TX not in the receiver!

I read somewhere on diydrones forum, that a least 2.5 times thrust to weight ratio was needed to fly with one motor out on a hex.

I don't think that is right, care to explain why it would matter looking at the hexa layout. Maybe Drew will post and confirm either way. Putting my hexa build on hold till I get an answer.

The center detent on the knob on my radio is -22. Two o'clock on the knob gets me to zero gain. Will have to play with the offset. Just thought I'd add that!

Kloner, Are there any differences between V1 and V2 of your kits?

I'm not sure, bit i think the range will change depending on what your gain settings are in the GUI. Haven't had time to test yet.

Are you getting the same results?

Endpoints or -20% to +20%.

Playing around with the gain settings, i was able to get -121 to 81+ with full sweep of the knob with weights set at 20%.
