Headtracking is the ability for the camera to follow the movement of your....head :). There is a sensor on he goggles and the camera allows you to look around up in the air. Neat idea - but again, I want the camera to show me exactly where the craft is pointing, and at which angle so I know how...

I have flown FPV, and while I understand your point about judging altitude/attitude, it was not easy on the camera I had, and I often worry I'm plummeting toward the ground :) I'm sure you'll figure out what works best. Just keep it a safe distance up and you should be fine to recover if things...

I'm not sure it's the best idea to try to fly FPV with a camera articulating on the gimbal. You need to be aware of the attitude of the craft to be able to properly control what's happening. I believe there are even some gimbals that have an "FPV" mode that stop movement for this use.

This may not be exactly what you're looking for - but most of my flying with others has been done at my old local AMA field, of which I was the only MR pilot. Flying in a group of all (or mostly) fixed wing planes can be challenging, since their standard flight path typically involves flying...

@Sleepy when did you get the Inspire??? I knew you had the Phantom 3. But I missed the Inspire purchase. How are you comparing it to the Phantom 3?

You should be fine. You mentioned 1 hour which would probably be pushing it.

Keep in mind that you will not be running down the battery to zero, so your estimates will be a bit off. You're probably looking at under an hour for the batteries, but you'll have to power everything up to see for sure.

The low discharge should not be an issue for your ground gear. At 2500mah it should last a while - and hopefully not add too much unwanted weight if you're strapping it to your headset :). I think the common goggles/headset batteries are a good deal smaller/lighter than 2500mah. Maybe...

+1. Wish I could try some larger ones. Unfortunately, the wood props they came out with were nowhere near the quality of their composite props.
