Just spotted this tonight, 64 bit driver is now on the DJI website...

I have been on the lookout for a GPS tracker which is lightweight and can be attached to a heli. This is in case your pride and joy should ever fly away into the distance and you can't get it back...it should be lightweight and you need to be able to use your iPhone and google maps to pinpoint...

...and I'm bowled over! It flies so lovely and smooth, GPS works absolutely superb as does RTH. I knocked a stick by mistake, looked down, looked back up and it was 20 metres away! Just flipped RTH on and it got itsself up to 20m, flew back and started decsending...lovely. Without my battery...

I am planning another build for me and my daughter to fly. The aim is to build it on a lightweight folding frame so that it's easy to transport and it will take a gopro camera...ultimately for FPV flying :) Frame: Folding 500 size frame from Quadcopters, 4 motors, 280 grams Motors...

Just managed to fry my PMU... I connected the camera gimbal to try and get it working, a few seconds later the PMU was smoking...here's hoping I can buy a new PMU on its own and not have to fork out for a whole new system!! I'm now leaving the workshop to have a glass of wine and try and...

I noticed when I first spun the heli up the other day, there is no motor arm or disarm function...this can be very dangerous, because if you turn off the transmitter before the heli, it goes into failsafe and takes off (well, mine almost did, but the props were off!) I wonder if DJI would...

All I am waiting for now are the boom clamps, apparently coming on Tuesday/Wednesday. It looks like I might be able to fly it at the meet next weekend. A quick weigh-in says it's 3.7kg all up, including 2 batteries...is that good or bad? :) PS: it's a BEAST :) :)

Guys, I am busy wiring the WKM to the esc's. I read that the red esc wire needs to be removed...do I have to remove this, or will it work okay still connected? I'd rather no cut the wire if I don't need to. Thanks, Gunter.

I am busy making my power distribution ring from batteries to esc's. I plan to make it so that I can use either 1 or 2 batteries, so a parallel connection. I just don't know if I need to make an open ring, or closed. Should I make it like the diagram, or should I close the loop as I have shown...

I have just received my new batteries and 10awg wire for making the power harness. The battery comes with bullet connectors, but I want to use XT60 plugs. The problem is that the wire doesn't quite fit into the end of the plug! I can't even see how it's easily possible to solder 10awg to a deans...

Right now, I have mocked up the airframe and have some weights for my new airframe. I'm just hoping it's all going to work, I don't want to have to buy new motors!! The airframe, motors, esc's, props, landing gear all weigh 2.3kg. I have to allow another 1kg for batteries, if I use 2 5000mah...

We all live and learn...I'm getting more plates cut soon! :o
