Question: Canon S100 HDMI Live Output

Another thing Herman.....the HDMI on my S95 is only for review, not live view. This may be the case with the S100 also. It will have to be composite for live view.

Question: Canon S100 HDMI Live Output

Yeah, if I remember correctly the canon mini usb is slightly different, I had the exact same problem. You should have got a usb to RCA AV cable with your camera. you will have to hack that up to fit your VTx. If you dont have one I'm sure you will find one at little cost. If you look carefully...

Question: Canon S100 HDMI Live Output

Herman, like most, if not all Canon cameras the S100 has the option of PAL/NTSC AV output, from the mini USB in this case. This is what would be best to use so you wont need to use a HDMI-Composite converter

    Gains

If its still a bit unstable in a breeze, smaller props and 4S.

    Gains

100% is pretty low (depending on size of craft) I have basics set higher 140 - 160 I think, and ATTI gains set lower 50 - 60. I find that works quite well, but what also reduces the wobbles is smaller props and 4S lipo's if you are using 10" props and 3S at the mo.

    The DJI rant thread

Hi Serval, I wasn't talking about the airframe, although I consider the 'toy' one to be of better design and quality than my DJI frames. Never seen a S800, but you're right they are totally different classes, certainly I've no issues with the XA frames at all. I was describing a general...

    The DJI rant thread

I recall a similar kind of scenario with XAircraft FC's so many gripes and problems and the solution? although XA would not accept that there was anything wrong with their gear, they were happy to announce when they released new stuff with the problems resolved, kindly offered at a discount to...

    Hi from London

Meeware, just get your phantom out in a safe field and fly it manual till your thumbs bleed, forget the GPS unless you really need it in a hairy moment. Flying skill and second nature orientation awareness is the basis of safe and sensible operations, more so than a BNU and Ops manuals and...

    Hi from London

Meeware, your doing it a bit back to front, you want to get all your practise and development done and establish what you need before compiling your Ops manual and doing pt2. Good plan to cut your teeth with what you have but no point spashing out on flight tests just for development. Steve

    Not happy with Video Result

Not too familiar with droidworx stuff, but it with a small camera like the V1 it looks like you may have to load up your anti vibration mountings a little, do you have your batteries mounted on the gimbal? Obviously try to work out as much vibration as you can from all the motors/props with...

Flying safety. oath to not fly over people!

Just as long as there is a safety observer to maintain VLOS for collision avoidance and in direct comms with the pilot, I consider it safe to fly backwards, forwards, sideyways whatever. not over people obviously.

Just signed on to start a new thread, but noticed this one running, My question is about matching or mixing of Tx and Rx antenna. should you always use skew planar with clover leaf etc or is it OK to use a Rx patch panel antenna to get more range out of low powered Tx. I want to limit myself to...
