OT for OT: having contacted every single private who sells (here or in the correct "sale" area) his rsgs i can't miss noticing that noone ever replied to pm's. Either these go veeeeeery fast or...no...surely (being as i am, italian) means i am thinking negative even when there is no reason to.

    AV130 endpoint question

I believe you are going to be happy whatever board you choose between Picloc, rsgs and hoverfly or, if budget doesn't allows it: you can get very good footage also with a cheap multiwii Crius SE programmed as gimbal controller. My opinion, based on using mwii, picloc and rsgs is that right now...

    AV130 endpoint question

What a nice frame you have there, i'd ask a thousand questions about it but let's stay on topic: If you use the wkm nick and roll servo stabilization outputs you'll get wrong axis compensation as soon as you turn the gimbal, maximum misalignment is when the gimbal is rotated 90° in relation to...

    AV130 endpoint question

To get the 120 + and - travel you could add a potentiometer to the pan axis but this is leading to a limitative use of the gimbal. Normally, when you use a 360° gimbal, there are no cables to pull because very simply there is nothing that needs to be connected between motor frame and gimbal...

Blacksails, thanks for the tip, i'll surely try it:tennis: Maybe there is more to be had from the rsgs although i am already really happy with the results. I tend to set the compensation in a conservative way but may change my mind if someone answers to "the" question: what are the advantages...

Hello haven't been able to test your parameters mainly because in sunny Italy it has been raining the whole evening but also because there is no way my skyline works with these parameters, maybe the fact that i am using hitec servos (5245) makes for a difference but if i put 600 on the roll the...

When i get home i'll check which parameters i'm using now. If i find the time i'll test these too.

Can you post a screenshot of the parameters you're using? (gain window) In fast translation my skyline slightly looses the horizon too but the amount of disalignement is zero if compared with yours.

No, unluckily turning pan stab off sets to off also manual pan. Might be something interesting to implement in a future fw though: pan stab off but keeping control of the pan.

I had it working on the bench on my second skyline. Now i am moving it to a flying machine but, even if it worked flawlessly, am still wonderig if i want to use the pan stab. I'll connect it and see if the advantages (one is pilot able to turn with rudder in flight and look forward using a...

Iscorama, take the time to read the setup guide: from what i see on the video you're not saving the values of "set xy and z" before launching autotune.

Same problem with same suspension system. You may test more or some harder o-rings, that should help. I am thinking on converting it back to some more traditional suspension system. Talking about settings: i learnt that the safe side in setting these systems is to undercompensate rather than...

Mitypsilon...just an idea to test: if you have set a "I" value in the tilt gain settings try lowering it. It looks like an overshoot caused by high integral value. Still, i don't believe you're going to tilt at maximum speed during normal shooting so...not even need to say "good luck" for todays...

That's exactly my opinion. What i like to remove most is any cable that will be twisted when the skyline tilts :tennis:

Swalas, you're right but modelling has its own rules since the receivers have male pins both for taking and delivering power. I'd wait for the schematics from PH, one thing for sure is that the pan input positive is not going to supply the skyline as the relative pin on the skyline is not a real...

    Photohigher skyline rsgs

Swalas, from what i see you're not supplying the skyline, you need a positive either from tilt or roll input connected to either pins 1,3 or 4 of the skyline as the positive from the pan input is not going to supply the skyline. The idea is almost the same i had and realized, the only...
