So you finally ordered a NAZA, now what???

Ain't that the painful truth! I lost two FPV Phantoms and one GoPro Hero 3 in my local Bermuda Triangle due to my personal idiocy. Those losses haven't cured me cause I just crashed my replacement 550 because, when I put aftermarket aluminum arms on it, I forgot to pay attention to motor...

New AIMDROIX aluminum arms for F450/550

I put a set on my F550 last week. My first flight ended up as a serious crash test which proved that failing to double check motor directions, prop directions, etc. is no a prudent plan. On takeoff it started spinning wildly, went up about 30' right over a wood pile and then fell like a...

Terry, is there a spot for reviews that have been done in the past? I looked and came up empty.

Need help troubleshooting sudden wobble / toilet-bowl action on take off W/ NAZA F550

Ditto! I had just about the same issue after rebuilding my 550 with new arms. First trip out it went up about 30', spinning wildly, and then dropped out of the sky like a rock. On to a pile of firewood. Not good! Took out the bottom frame plate and landing gear. Found out that I'd screwed up...

    s800 Flip of Death

My question is, "And where does that explanation come from?" It's easy to say, like HT did, that it's a DJI programming error but how do you get the facts that would offer convincing proof of that diagnosis? Did someone with credentials do an exhaustive post-mortem exam on the 800's remains...

S800 EVO, S800, and DJI, Thoughts on Performance and Support

HT I watched your video and read your comments about it crashing due to a bug in the Naza software. What I haven't heard or seen though is how you determined that a software bug was the cause of your S800's crash. What thought process did you go through to come up with that conclusion?

    DJI Released Naza-M Firmware 4.00

Found the answer which was my green pilot tunnel vision. After the problem started I focused on compass calibration and Advanced Calibration and never bothered to check the first screen in the Assistant which shows the four control axis. Finally looked and saw that all were off to one side or...

And why should they? That video shows that something with a camera bit the dust. It doesn’t show what was carrying the camera. It doesn’t show the cause.

    DJI Released Naza-M Firmware 4.00

I upgraded my DJI 550 with Naza v2 to 4.0 a few days ago. For me it's been a mixed bag. BTW, I'm a very green pilot. Pros: 1. I can now reliably get in to compass calibration mode. With 3.16 I usually couldn't. 2. Maybe, just maybe, I have more time to get into advanced calibration mode after...

    First Crash

Clearly this sport needs an affordable flight recorder to help us understand the "WHY?" of our costly crashes.

Can I adjust my Futaba 8J's voltage reading?

The voltage of the full battery pack of my new Futaba 8J is in the 6.5v range. My Futaba 8J sees it as 5.0v. This has the unit shutting down due to low voltage way too early. Can I calibrate the reading myself or do I have to send it back to Futaba?

    f550 not very stable

Something's wrong if you're taking off in GPS and the LED starts flashing red. Something's really wrong if your video was what happened when you told you told your F550 to do a GPS hover and then only took control when you landed. Had you successfully flown in that spot before?

Quad spinning and not getting Air. Video Link inside.

Drew, how much throttle were you giving t when trying to take off?

More bad "Drone" usage in the news

I'm guessing that that hex is not going to be around too long. Wouldn't be surprised if there is an unexplained acute equipment failure ending in a crash landing inside the perimeter of the next place they fly over.
