Those do look pretty cool, but I just use $2 pool noodles. :) Not because I'm cheap, but because it really helps with orientation. Obviously, though, this is not an issue for an FPV platform. :)-- Gary

I'm happier with the way it flies like this than the looks, and they look awesome

your video is really stable. what props/motors are you using? It's too bad the gopro still makes you use the 170 deg FOV with 720/60p mode. I cant get non-jello video in 1080 at all. Glad the legs are working for you guys.

gary,
nice! :p gonna have to go find some of that. i was also thinking about ziptieing them to the legs.
also are those your bats' mounting on the back of the quad? how does it handle with them there vs in the center?

The two 4s-2600 packs mount to the end of the battery plate/gimbal mount, and they perfectly counter-balance the camera and gimbal. I actually think this flies a bit more stable than my other F450 setup, which is quite a bit lighter.

One more part for breaking. At least this one is cheap :) good work but i would screw 2 on each side to make them stronger.

I smacked mine hard in the grass from high up and it didnt break anything but a prop. I figured they were plenty strong. but everyone has different experiences as there will always be those slight variables that make one part take more load than another. Let me know if you need more.
