Which Radio?

Ok, so I've been using a Spektrum DX6i for a little while now. It's served me well and has been nothing but great for all the helis & tricopters I've had over the last year +. With AP being my main focus these days though, and with a couple of bigger builds on the horizon, I can see now that I'm going to need something a little bit bigger. I'm wondering what you guys are using and why? I have always been a fan of Futaba and was looking in that direction, but I'm open to hear from others why I should or shouldn't go in that direction.

My only requirements would be that it have enough channels to run a hexa as well as having at least one nob on the front so that I could dial in a camera mount to different angles and not be limited to 1 of 2 points in the range.

So, any suggestions?

I Have a Graupner MX22 with jeti box. I got it for the telemetry. Its good but I think a little outdated and not as easy to set up as the Spektrum stuff. I much prefer the feel and adjustability of the DX8.. but I have had issues with that to!..

Hope Rtryder jumps in here coz if its out there he's tried it, or researched it to death and I personally have taken his advice on numerous occasions.
