What hdmi to composite converter for your gh4?

Here is the Kopterworx version on the left vs the ebay one (on the right) I got that doesn't work. Notice the boards are totally different. The one with the 2 capacitors and the heat sink is the one that you want.
I plugged it in. It works. View attachment 25561

Have you had a chance to try it out? Does it work? I ask because I have the Aerialpixels converter but cannot make it work.
not yet. since you mentioned it I will play with it today with the GH4, and just for fun with a Beaglebone Black as a video source :)

Here you go. GH4, aerialpixels HDMI to AV board, TS832. Works both for monitoring and during recording. I can also confirm it is unnecessary to power the HDMI board as the GH4 powers it through the HDMI. What have you tried that hasn't worked?

You're awesome, Crazy! That's my exact setup, and you've proven it can work. Now I just need to figure out where my glitch is.

Mind if I ask a couple questions?:
- What settings are you using on the GH4?
- Are you doing Anything special on the camera? Like booting the cam last? Pressing the playback button? Holding down the trash can button for 5 seconds?
- Are the colors on your monitor OK? Or are they off? I had my last monitor working, but the colors were so terrible I sent it back and got another.
- I accidentally connected the video and ground wires between the converter and the Video Tx up backwards, with the yellow video to ground Ana vice versa. Do you I may have damaged either the VTx or the converter?

Thanks for doing that. It will definitely help!

I messed with it some more just now. It didn't matter when I turned off the camera. I turned it off, turned it back on, changed the system frequency, off, back on, etc. and it behaved just like a separate monitor for the camera. Worked perfectly. What is yours doing?

As for color rendition, I have an LCD-RX5802. I'm honestly not concerned with that personally, but yes I would say it's definitely not accurate to what the camera is getting.

I really doubt it, I am sure there is polarity protection on there. Did you notice a change since you did that?
