Turnigy batteries

Hi,
I have been using turnigy nano tech batteries for a while now. Just wondering what you guys think of the standard turnigy blue battery's against the nano tech? Are nano tech a way better option?
Cheers

Tim.

I've been using turnigy 20c 6s packs for my trext 600esp for over 2 years now...they do puff, but still working well. I have just bought 2 nano techs for my octo, but havent used them yet. What lipos are you wondering about & what use will they be put to?

Hi Tim
I use both the turnigy blue and nano 3s 2200 and 3000 mah. Both seem reliable. I am now only buying the nano batts as they are lighter and smaller (obviously) and I haven't had any issues with them. I also use nano 3s 360 and 470mah for my onboard FPV gear, many cycles with no problems. Go for the nanos!

I'm running four Turnigy 20C 6S5000 packs in my stock trex600 cameraship also for about two years. Still going ok, no swelling. They are never left fully charged for more than a few days. I also bably my cameraship...

I also run 3S2200 and 3S3300 packs in my tri and hex and they are holding up well. I have a 4S Nano on order... but these packs are working ok.

An avide heli flier I know swears by them and perfers them over the nanotechs. He claims they have a lower internal resistance (does heavy 3d flying). I've been using nanotech mainly because of the marketting and not having any issues with them (only sport flying).

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
I've had a bunch of Turnigy 4S 20C 5000 mah packs for most of this year and they've been fine. My only complaint is that with each shipment of 4 or 6 packs I'll get one with a weak cell that doesn't recover and drags the whole pack down. It's not a huge problem but it's costs money when a pack isn't quite useable so I've since gone to GensAce packs which are a little more money but so far very consistent in quality (4S 25C 5500 mah).

I've got close to two dozen highly abused Turnigy packs of varying sizes and capacities, of all of them only one is starting to show signs that its getting puffy and all of them still produce close to the flight times they did when new. Some of these packs have been run down to single digit % reserve after a flight and still recharge and work fine. I recently started using the Blue Lipos from Hobbypartz and they seem to be just as good as the Turnigy plus they're warehoused in the USA and at my door in 4 to 5 days from the opposite coast. Can't go wrong with either from my experience.

and these

as there are no nano techs in the Australian website. Ill see how they go. I have had no problems with them in my rc planes and trex helis but just wanted to make sure they were going to be fine for my okto2 which i presume they will be. I usually land with 3.8v left per cell.

Cheers
