Testing Orange R710 vs AR8000 rx for distance

I have been testing range for the Orange R710 rx and the AR8000 with my DX8 for several weeks now. I have not been able to get the orange rx to flight more the 2788ft without losing signal. I have been able to get the AR8000 out over 3600ft with no problems. Have anyone been able to fly further with a stock 2.4 receiver and the DX8 combo?

after crashing my quad with orange rx.... no way i'll trust those orange again..

that's pretty far, lets see how it's all laid out

farthest i got on my ar8000 and jr11x was 2200 feet. everytime i'd turn around it'd failsafe like crazy till she'd get heading back a little.

Just finish taking the ar8000 out almost 1 mile (5000ft) with just the dx8. 2 mile round trip.Could have went further but did not need to.
