Just wanted to add that there is now a simulator called AeroSim that supports the MK platforms be it a Quad, Hexa, or Octo. It's much less expensive to crash on a sim learning than with the actual MK.

You can brush up your flying skills even before purchasing a MK. It also has the ability to teach you FPV from what I understand. Have been patiently waiting for a company to add MK support and now that it has happened I just purchased a copy myself and I'm awaiting delivery from New Generation Hobbies

Google AeroSim and I'm sure you'll get additional info on the product itself.

You can fly FPV in realflight on any model, its called cockpit view. They don't have any official MK vehicles but they do have some multirotered craft you can download free. That's what I praticed on going from fixed wing RC to heli's and multis. It was invaluable.

No love for the Mac?

MKTool is PC only as well....I guess I'll have to run Bootcamp.

As far as a sim goes, I think I'm going to skip it. I'll just take it very easy until I feel competent enough to really soar.

What's the price on AeroSim, Buzzed? I couldn't find it on their site.
