RC Tiger U7 420 motor cables only 16 AWG

Hello,

I am currently building a rig with U7 420 KV motors. The motors come with 16 AWG cables on it. To me this seems to be a bit thin as the motors can run up to 40A. My rig draws around 12,5A per motor on hover.

Any idea if 16 AWG is enough for the U7´s`
Greetings

Most esc´s I know have around 12 or 14 on the motor side. That´s why I wonder about the 16 AWG on the U7´s. I´d prefer 14 AWG but I am not sure if it´s needed.

Also the U7´s are "singing". I think it comes from the cooling vents they have but not sure.

yea, they sound different. this shows with and without a 3 axis brushless gimbal and gh4 doing 47mp and 38mph.... and the current draws

the osd indicates .9 volts lower than actual and is on one of two packs so overall is double the current shown. the current and mah used are exact with reality, it's a hex with 18" and 490kv
