Question about telemetry

I have seen images of fpv groundstations where among the monitored data, I can see the indication of the direction heading of the craft.
I also know that, having a compass on the craft, my sofware monitors the orientation of the craft (when connected through usb).
So, here is the question:
Is there any simple gadget available, that I could keep close to my transmitter, indicating the heading of the craft?
It seems to me that this would be extremly useful, specially when flighing high and distant from the pilot.
Anyone has a hint? Is this product on the market?

That is a solution. But I for the moment, I don't want to buy a complete system of telemetry nor a computer based system. What I really want to find is something simple, that could be monitored by a little lcd or even a box with leds.
Let us see if someone knows a simpler solution
