Pulling my hair!!!

I finally completed my build, Xaircraft X650 V4, turnigy 2826's, turnigy 30a plush esc's, WK-M & Spekturm DX8. Problem is that when I fire her up, 2-3 of the motors spinup, once I hit 50% all the motors fire up. I lifted the unit off the table while the motors are spinning and tip her to the right and to the left and it appears that some of the motors 1, either slow down or stop spinning, 2, lose their rpm's. Once I make her level the motors appear to pick up speed and run about the same. So what have I done wrong or what did I forget to do? I've re-check everything atlease 5 times. I'm ready to fly!!!!! Been working on this making excuses to not do honey do list, it's time to go out and fly!

PERFECT! Thanks for the help, I just happen to be ready to hop in the bed and decided to check the board before turning in. Saw your post and decided to spend another 20 mintues following your instructions. Besides, I'm already in the dog house with the wife, glad I have a.c. and a flat screen. A well equipped doghouse is better than sleeping in the car......... Once again thanks for your help!

Don't know much about why some motors spin up faster than others. Mine does the same on a F550 and NAZA. It usually takes a little more throttle to get them all going, but they're ready to fly at about 30-40% throttle.

The other thing, when you were holding your quad and some motors speed up and slow down when you tilt the quad is perfectly normal. The WK-M is trying to stabilize the quad by adding thrust here and taking it away there to keep the quad upright. It's how the thing is controlled in the first place.

when you hit csr in a naza, they should all sit there spinning idle. If there not dji or simonk esc's that have fixed input ranges, you have to adjust the throttle input, no other way to do it

Ok so am I was facing the same problem and I had done the throttle range setting as per the manual before but after talking to kloner I decided to double check it:

Here is the video of all my steps taken:
http://youtu.be/PK35oceryig?hd=1

If I dont pull the throttle down after 2 seconds it goes into program mode
- The manual states that if it enters program mode , it is because the throttle channel of your transmitter is reversed. I tried it with -100% throttle in the mixer settings of Tx but it still didn't work.
- The manual also states "Start up failure protection: If the motor fails to start within 2 seconds of throttle application, the ESC will cut-off the output power. In this case, the throttle stick MUST be moved to the bottom again to restart the motor. (Such a situation happens in the following cases: The connection between ESC and motor is not reliable, the propeller of the motor is blocked, the gearbox is damaged, etc)."

I wasn't facing any problems on my F450, the only things I have done different are that I didn't solder straight to the bottom plate but instead used bullet connectors, as I knew at some point I would have to troubleshoot problems and it would be easy with the bullet connectors.
:dejection:

So I will try removing the bullets from the equation tomorrow and see what happens unless anyone has other ideas.

I had the same concerns when i first started w/ my quad. But it flies w/ no issues. I disregarded it since it was flying ok.

So I got the throttle range setting to work, as it was not working as per the manual as I had it on NiCd setting so I put it back to LiPo and presto! (The NiCd setting was recommended for my KK2 board, for low voltage cut off or something like that).

Im going to wire everything up before moving onto the bullet connectors, maybe the Wookong M had issues with the NiCd setting.

Just hooked everything back up, all working properly now, thanks kloner!

I recalibrated my Tx and then reset the wookong from scratch as well.

awesome, your welcome,,,, on the low voltage cuttoff on the esc's, i'd bump that to low and use wookong if you want that. Set like you have it one esc will just shut off and throw your rig in the dirt on ya

Search, you get yours runnin?

I corrected the problem and forgot to do one thing, and that was remove the red wires. I got her into the air and thought to myself, "Did I pull thoses red wires out from the esc's?" Then after another mintue, I thought "No I didn't, damn! Before I could do another thing, she fell out the of air. Only about 5 feet, and I looked and the wires were still connected. So I removed them and waited for the next day. Got her into the air, plently of power, but real jerky and twitching, Turn her left, and she jerked left, turned her right and she jerked right, you know the story, any command I gave she jerked and twitched. When to bring her down after about a mintue and Bang, she flipped over on her right side, and hit the ground, breaking a APC Prop. So I got to figure out what's wrong and go from there

Yup the flipping over thing has cost me over $100 bucks in one month.
I'm not confident to put FPV gear on now which was the whole reason I changed from Heli's to MR's
