I recently purchased some SunnSky motors, that came with their own prop adapter. The adapters are the collet type. Recently I had one come off in flight. I am now, what I consider to be, execssively tightening the spinner to keep them from slipping. Since the prop is between the spinner and the collet reducer, I would think I am at risk of having the prop break
I have seen adapters that have set screws in them. As the motor shafts have a flat spot, it seems I could use the kind with the set screw. I read that the collet type produce less vibration than the other kind.
So which is better, and what are good brands of adapters that fit on 3mm shaft?
