watched it in tv most of that day. See the smog when that thing came around the corner into LA... man i grew up there from 1980-1985 and we used to have shortened school days called Smog days

Very cool. I am 42 and I feel like I grew up with the shuttle. Sux that its not gonna fly anymore missions.

very much so, i remember getting up in the middle of the night it seemed for the first one, i had to of been 10 or 11 ish. my parents weren't even up, but ol kloner had to see her go...... She was something else. I was watching every launch on HDNET in hd on the ol 60", same with her ast flight

This was the newest one if heard it right... think they said it was made in the 90's

Well I'm 3 months from turning 70 and I remember watching the old Saturn V launches. The space program was somthin' to see, that's for shure.
