Photohigher CS - 3R retractable landing gear or Droidworxs?

Hi everybody,

I just built a Droidworx Skyjib (octo) heavy V2, with a AV200 gimbal and I'm in the market for some retractable landing gear. I'm torn between the Photohighers Cs-3r and the Droidworxs retracts. The Cs-3r seem to be a stabler platform and are cheaper. The droidworxs have a spektrum servo, which I like since I'm using a spektrum-dx7 as my transmitter and the landing gears snaps off, which is a plus for transporting them. I've heard some stories about the droidworxs landing gear getting stuck in the upright position during flight causing pilots to have to land the craft on it's belly. Could anybody shed some light on this? Opinions?

I have the photo higher 3r landing gear,
And have been working on it to make it more robust. To handle the weight of a
Canon 6d with WA lens it really needs
This. The clip on arms for the servo are too flimsy and 1 servo is not really enough to drive this mechanism!

the droidworx gear are some sexy sticks,,,,love mine

i built one of these for a client and he had the servo blow up the other day to where they got stuck up. the servo is breaking inside. not sure if the controler is letting it run when it shouldn't or what.

there really tough too. you gotta take care landing, but crashing and what not i'm surprised how well they hold up. I killed a servo right off the bat but a few hundred cycles later no complaints. i blew mine up in an incident where the flight controller out of no where powered up and took the rig up 5 feet then shut off and it fell like a rock.

Ive built two rigs with the DW gear. Whilst they look gorgeous I think form has overtaken function. They are too narrow to get a Cinestar gimbal slung between them and I dont think thay are very stable. I also find that you need to somehow bind the feet to the legs otherwise they can easily pop out. Not the best designed gear in my opinion at all.
