We will never win this war against the government. Until there is a civil war and hundreds of years gone by to start fresh we will always be sheep with no say and only worth the taxes we pay. As this industry grows, not only will it become impossible to get work but it will be impossible to do for fun. More and more people will buy these things which means more and more people will F up and cause incidents. there is no way out other than to sell your gear while it is still worth something. Perhaps in 10-20 years things may change but for me, I personally have no more interest in flying my heli if it is not going to turn into a business. We will start to see many more things that we find enjoyable become illegal. It's either going to be the red belly toad that needs protection by some environmentalist or its a government that will blindly control us from paranoia. Either way, we are meaningless sacks of flesh that have one purpose and that is to not be gay, believe in Jesus, over populate, eat lots of processed food, put the small mom and pop business out on the streets and pay taxes!
