NAZA, must you use their GPS?

Hi all,

I played with GPS for a few years and learnded some of the technical side of it. I have an SD and Compactflash cards for my PDA's I know that GPS has standards as in how a receiver communicates. NEMA for one. The question is what else could you use for a GPS module with NAZA. I see Eagle Tree sells a GPS module. Would this work with NAZA? Could an GPS card for a PDA be made to work with NAZA?

Just as a note the GPS cards I have came for a company named US Globalsat.

This one reminds me of the NAZA GPS module http://www.usglobalsat.com/p-57-br-355-gps.aspx#/images/product/large/57.jpg

Its not gonna work, because Naza gps unit has a magnetometer chip built inside, where else the one on the link is purely GPS unit.
They even make sure WK-M and Naza gps unit cannot be interchange.

the data stream on it is super proprietary and locked up to my understanding. one cat from poland had an osd that cracked that code, but that's the only one i've seen where sombody used something from not from dji using the naza data stream
