It flies, no doubt........ but it was a controlled motor outage without camera payload in possibly calm conditions.

What will inspire confidence in the redundancy capabilities of an Octo/Hexa. config., is some footage of a controlled landing from a good altitude, with a payload under usual flying conditions ? This scenario will reduce command authority to some extent and place a premium on RC Piloting skills.

Any known footage out there ?

Ross,
We've had enough crash reports of late......... be prepared for the possibility but do everything in your power to prevent it ?

i'd think a good strategy will be to do what every other flying machine does in an emergency and that is start descending, maintain directional control and quickly pick a place to land. and make sure you have video of the event. :)
