Do i have to put locktite on the propeller nuts for my dji f550 or just tight them it will be ok?

with the stock props your fine. if you use a round hub prop like graup or apc it is a good idea, blue.

I use Graupners and see no need for Locktite.

didn't either for 300 flights till one backed a nut off....... went to double nuts, but nylocs or loctite are a good idea. somebody just posted the nyloc size and link to get em. irisaerial sells a set of pliers for those that don't want to loctite em so at least there tight. with graps, some crank down tight, but most the prop spins inbetween the gap the nut bottoms out

I fly too far away from myself to not have all the bases covered.

A note of caution: most threadlocking compounds are incompatible with many plastics - they cause "crazing" and make the plastic brittle. Be careful!

It's very simple: ALWAYS use blue Locktite for metal screws to metal holes, actually all metal - to - metal connections.
NEVER use blue Locktite to plastic - to - plastic or plastic - to - metal connections.
Blue Locktite can only work if in between two metal connections, and only then it will cure and create a bond. If used on plastic, it will never harden out and will act like a lubricant....making it easier for the screw to get loose. Best bet is to tighten a metal screw in plastic just tight, but not too tight otherwise you strip the thread.
Should this happen, apply 2 or 3 layers of thick CA glue to the hole and let it get dry over night. The next day you should be fine....

Would suggest not using Loctite Blue 242. They make Purple 222 which is plenty strong for our applications. It 222 is more appropriate for small screws. Still locks it but easier to 'break' than Blue. Tougher to find but you can get it at Amazon.

I use teflon pipe tape on the prop shaft threads.
1 or 2 strips is all you need. If it wears out, just use an
Xacto knife to pick out the old tape & apply new tape.
Works great & you don't have to worry about dripping stuff all over your copter.
