How do you plan to use it? Connecting several together?
I personally have found the HobbyKing string of LEDs to be phenomenal for me. I use a red string along the back, and a white strip along the front.

Any more than one of these would create a problem with their brightness you need to exercise care when looking at them indoors certainly not your run of the mill LED light

I hear ya. I'll stick to my string of LEDs 
. It helps in all conditions (day and night) knowing from a distance it's attitude and how directly is it facing me (head-on, or at a slight angle). Also, seeing a "V" or inverted "V" just gives me that added visual feedback of it coming towards me or away from me.
