I'm Looking for a dealer in the UK

I'm a total newbie based in the UK (in the Midlands).
I'd like to go and visit a quadcopter dealer, get some advice on what to buy and how to fly, then know I can call them for spares etc.
I'm basically asking if anyone can recommend anyone?
I've got someone in mind, but want to do my homework before handing over the cash.

I spent a fair few quid with Martin at buildyourowndrone.co.uk he is based near Basingstoke just north of the M3, he came through with everything as advertised and is very helpful although clearly busy so you may have to call a few times on the phone, not had any reason to try him for after sales support so far.

all depends where abouts in the midlands you are as that covers a pretty big area

geoff at quadcopters.co.uk is based in lancashire

has always had good response from what ive read on here

good luck and hope you find someone close as it helps when you need to run out for parts etc

knowledge is key in this game. the more you research before to start calling both guys mentioned the better. Both of these guys are totally rammed with phone calls every minute of the day. I you have a god Idea of what you want post it on here and you will be surprised how much help you will get. Once you have a good idea of what you want and the budget you have thats the time to talk to these guys. I have heard first hand the phone calls that these guys receive and what gets them all is when some one rings asking what the flight time would be from a Phantom flying a Canon 5d!

Thanks for the tips guys.
Call me suspicious - but I always like to buy from websites with an address on there (even if I've got no intention of visiting) - there seem to be so many people selling this gear on the web who don't publish their address.
I'm still trying to get my head around the basics components: props, NAZA, wookongs etc.
I guess that's half the fun of learning!

You could also try Buzzflyer, although not in the Midlands they post stuff out over night so order today get it my mid-day tomorrow. They will also demo a rig you buy from them in the field right behind their unit. John and Harvey are always helpful on the phone too. If you are asking for demo flights they may all be a little coy to offer this service because they all want you to buy then they will fly your rig. I also know that HeliGuy in Northumberland will offer you free flight instruction to if you buy and pick up a whole rig from them.
Mark at Xaircraft is very accommodating too but he also runs several other businesses so is often difficult to tie down and he is in Lancashire too but only does Xaircraft hense the name....

Note about postal addresses on websites:-
In Europe it is illegal to offer any service on the web without posting full contact details and that includes an address.... this may be your accountants address if they are your company secretary.
Those who don't have an address are rightly to be avoided especially where they also only offer a non-geographic phone number to contact them too.
